Dr. Talal Chatila is the Denise and David Bunning Professor of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School and is a pediatrician in Boston, Massachusetts affiliated with Boston Children's Hospital. He received his medical degree from American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
His lab at BCH works on elucidating the role of T-regulatory (Treg) cells in peripheral immunological tolerance. He is also interested in elucidating mechanisms by which of Treg cells maintain mucosal tolerance and how their breakdown fosters inflammatory diseases, particularly food allergy and asthma.
